Luck Bros. Inc. (LBI) is dedicated to maintaining the highest levels of safety standards on every job site and throughout every project that we undertake. The culture of safety within our company is strong, and each employee must have at least an OSHA 10 Hour Course in construction to start work. We follow OSHA Standards for the Construction Industry (29 CFR Part 1926).
All LBI employees are trained on the task that they perform on the job site, and this training is expanded and refreshed continually with weekly Tool Box Talks and the renewal of qualifications and certifications every 12-36 months as required.
In 2019 we were honored to achieve the “Diamond Award” in the development of a quality safety program from ABC Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc. This award is the highest that participating construction companies are able to obtain and in order to do so, they must meet exceptionally high standards such as a Total Recordable Incident Rate (TRIR) 50% below NAICS code average.
As the safety landscape changed in early 2020, LBI changed with it. We now have a Supplemental Health and Safety Plan in place, as well as the Department of Health NY Forward Safety Plan Template to address Novel Coronavirus COVID-19 as it impacts how we work. All job sites have a COVID-19 Daily Log and all employees and visitors must sign in and administer a self-evaluation on any related symptoms as outlined in the mandated NY COVID start up questionnaire. Our commitment to safety is only getting stronger in these challenging times.
